‘Ai Pono Foundation works with University of Hawaii students and staff to raise awareness and provide education, as well as connecting local students with internships at our residential eating disorder treatment center.
Kāhi Mōhola | Sutter Health
Sutter Health Kāhi Mōhala is a center of excellence for behavioral healthcare services in Hawaii. We regularly coordinate with Kāhi Mōhala to provide comprehensive care for individuals with eating disorders and other co-occurring mental health issues.

‘Ai Pono Foundation Board Members Dr. Anita Johnston and Dr. Steve Orenstein were invited to present at the Hawaii Psychological Association’s Annual Convention in 2019.
international association for eating disorder professionals (iaedp)
‘Ai Pono Hawaii has proudly participated in the annual iaedp conference since 2012, furthering our mission and increasing awareness of eating disorder treatment. Our application to begin a Hawaii iaedp chapter is currently under review.
Healthy Hawaii Teen
Founded by Hawaii local Nicole Berriman, Healthy Hawaii Teen is an online resource for teens in Hawaii struggling with mental health issues including eating disorders. Berriman provides a safe platform for teens to explore the topic of mental health and gain access to information and providers that can provide the support they need.

‘Ai Pono Foundation was founded in 2018 as an extension of the work that we had begun through our small eating disorder treatment program.
